    Social Commentary with a Kick

    January 20, 2007
Genius. South Park has provided comic relief for todays problems for ten gut wrenching years. Story lines often seem to be plucked from the days headlines. Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Eric provide the laughs and social commentary, which echo true common sense. South Park is a counter move to the politically correct world in which we live. South Park is animation for adults plain and simple, and I hope to see the boys of South Park learn lessons and provide their unique brand of insight for many years to come.

    Intelligent

    June 11, 2008
This is clearly the most intelligent show on television. Watch the show and see how they attack serious real world issues that are going on today. The writing is clever. Sure the show is edgy but thats what makes it great.

    Where satire lives

    June 2, 2008
Once seen as a simplistic show that glorified adult themes, fart jokes, and the routine death of a certain main character, South Park has come full circle and, especially for the more up-to-date and pop culture savvy viewer, serves as a hysterical and at times cathartic experience. With writing reminiscent of Swift, South Park revels in the absurdity of current events throughout the modern world and casts a light, however consistently bizarre, that no one, whether it be Jesus Christ or George Bush, can escape. Consistently the best written show on television, not to mention a pioneer of reduced censorship on American television waves, South Park deserves far more time and respect than any other cartoon running. While that may not seem like a bold statement, in an era of easily had, stale jokes (see Family Guy and neo-Simpsons) it is encouraging to see that the metaphor is alive and well within animated satires. South Park does an excellent job of maintaining the highest levels of satire while still being able to appeal to a lower-brow audience via more instantly gratifying comedic devices (some would argue never straying from its roots). Suffice it to say that if you are looking for a laugh, one of considerable depth or otherwise, South Park will always be there.

This is why this show is the BEST EVER!

    January 28, 2007
I love this show.... why? Because it is simply the best show created ever! Kenny, Kyle, Stan, And Eric (Cartman) are simply hilarious in this funny, yet moral and intelligent animated comedy. I am warning you, once you see it, you will be rolling around the floor in laughter until. As good as the TV show is the movie, which is excellent. So, go watch the kickass movie and the the TV show! You won't be disappointed!

P.S. - Be advised - the MA rating on the TV show and R-Rating on the movie are well deserved. DOn not watch this if you can't stand a lot of profanity, (i.e. the f-word being used 199 times in 82 minutes)
